A man allegedly armed with a gun was shot dead by Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies in Bellflower Friday.
LASD deputies responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call on the 10400 block of Artesia Boulevard at 9:06 p.m. After arriving at the scene, deputies shot and killed the man, the sheriff’s department said.
“The male adult suspect was struck by gunfire and transported to a local area hospital where he was pronounced deceased,” LASD said in a statement.

No deputies were injured in the shooting. LASD has not released any additional details about the case at this time.
